Governor Whitmer Signs Supplemental Funding – Premium Pay Increase Extended for Remainder of Current Fiscal Year

“Across Michigan, countless Direct Care Workers—along with the individuals and families they serve—are breathing enormous sighs of relief today. These essential workers provide an enormous service, and having this wage supplemental in hand will help keep them on the job, helping individuals with extra personal needs. We are immensely grateful to see this supplemental signed into law, and look forward to making the increase permanent.”

- Bob Stein, General Counsel at the Michigan Assisted Living Association.
